Monarto Zoological Park is a 1,500-hectare open range zoo located in South Australia administered by the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia. Monarto Zoo is one of the largest open-range zoos in the world and is home to more than 50 species of exotic and native mammals, birds and reptiles. It is located at Monarto approximately 70 kilometres from Adelaide's centre.

The Monarto Zoo is open from 9.30am - 5.00pm every day of the year, except in the case of extreme weather. If the weather is predicted 40 degrees or above at Monarto the Zoo will be closed. Please refer to Weatherzone or the Bureau of Meteorology Murray Bridge forecast.

Please note: Entry into Monarto Zoo is not permitted after 3:00pm. Upon arrival, please refer to your handout or see the Tours Desk for Keeper Talk Times. The Monarto Zoo's Zu-Loop Shuttle commences at approximately 10:15 am, last full Zu-Loop shuttle is approximately 3.00pm (times are subject to alteration). Weekends, school and public holidays times may vary.
