A one day pass to Adelaide Zoo and a one day pass to Monarto Zoo. The pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, however, the pass to the second zoo must be used within 3 months of entry to the first zoo.
Adelaide Zoo is just a 15 minute walk from the central business district and is home to more than 1,800 animals and almost 300 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish exhibited in over eight hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings. Adelaide Zoo is also home to Wang Wang and Funi, the only Giant Pandas in the Southern Hemisphere.
The zoo's other major exhibits include the Immersion South East Asian Rainforest, Seal Bay, Australian Rainforest Wetlands walk-through aviary, Nocturnal House, Reptile House, Bug Barn, Children's Zoo and the Westpac Envirodome, and environmental education centre. Zookeepers provide daily animal feeds and keeper talks. You can join an Adelaide Zoo free walkabout tour throughout the day - tours depart from various locations every half hour between 9.45am and 3.30pm.
Monarto is the largest open range zoo in Australia. It is a 1,500 hectare open-range sanctuary undertaking a major role nationally and internationally in breeding programs for rare and endangered species. It is the home of South Australia' first ever southern white rhinoceros and Australia's largest giraffe herd.
The Zu-loop shuttle bus departs the Visitor Centre at regular intervals enabling you to get on and off the bus at a variety of wildlife viewing platforms including, Giraffe, Rhino, Cheetah, Lion, African Painted Dogs and Chimpanzee. Approximately 10 kilometres of walking tracks meander through the Mallee bush-land of the zoo and can be incorporated with the Zu-loop service for those visitors wishing to be flexible in exploring the zoo.
