Once you arrive, pick up your full-day car hire and set off to discover Kangaroo Island at your own pace.

Whether you want to encounter wildlife at Seal Bay, wander the breathtaking Remarkable Rocks, or relax on secluded beaches, this self-guided adventure lets you craft your perfect itinerary. With a late-evening return ferry and coach transfer, you’ll have maximum time to explore.

Prefer to drive yourself? Choose the option to make your own way to Cape Jervis and simply join the ferry crossing - ideal for those staying nearby or planning a road trip.

Options and details

For this Self-Drive Hire Car Package option, you need to travel on the Morning (am) SeaLink Coach to connect with the SeaLink ferry to Kangaroo Island and the Evening (pm) SeaLink Coach to connect with the SeaLink ferry from Kangaroo Island.

Bookings are subject to availability of all components. SeaLink Kangaroo Island Coach & Ferry does not operate on Christmas Day.

Seafront Connect Hire Car Kangaroo Island: Above prices are based on a Mid-size Auto SUV, but other car types may be available and package price will vary accordingly. Seasonal dates for hire car: Low Season: 01/05/26 – 30/09/26, 12/10/26 – 11/12/26, 01/02/27 – 25/03/27 High Season: 01/04/26 – 30/04/26, 01/10/26 – 11/10/26, 12/12/26 – 31/01/27, 26/03/27 – 31/03/27 Where the booking goes over two seasons and QT has automatically repriced the amount, in most instances it will not give a full figure, rather one ending with an odd number of cents (Eg $363.18) Seafront Connect Hire Car Kangaroo Island Conditions apply (available on request) and package includes unlimited kilometres on Kangaroo Island.
