What to expect

Step back in time with our all-inclusive rail journeys through regional New South Wales on the North Coast Rail itinerary. With restored 1960s lounge and dining carriages, along with private cabins, this tour evokes the charm of the golden age of rail travel.

Explore Port Macquarie on a scenic lunch cruise, take in the sights & surrounds of the Byron Bay Lighthouse, visit the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey, and enjoy some of Maitland’s historical and cultural icons with a day of touring.

The Southern Aurora overnight passenger train, which operated from 1962 to 1986 between Sydney and Melbourne, has seen its original carriages lovingly restored. You can now once again experience the charm and comfort of train travel in our carefully curated rail tours. New for 2025, our itineraries are now all-inclusive and you’ll enjoy hearty meals in our dining carriage prepared by our onboard chef, using fresh local produce along the way.
