What to expect
See a piece of Australia's maritime history up close during a guided tour of the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Built in 1895, this limestone lighthouse is the tallest in Australia and remains vital to vessels traversing past the cape. Book a 30 minute Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse tour to step inside the famous Western Australia landmark and admire the sweeping ocean views from the top of the tower where the Southern and Indian Ocean meet.
A guided tower tour will let you in on the secrets of this must-see attraction including how it was built and what it was like to be a lighthouse keeper. Adjacent to the lighthouse, a Lightkeeper’s Museum is housed in the original lighthouse keepers’ cottage and you can interact with the animated films and artefacts that celebrate the work of all the known lighthouse keepers of Cape Leeuwin.
