What to expect

Take in the very best of Japan on this luxurious 12 day tour.

Ideally suited to foodies, this journey features 24 local dining experiences. This includes the chance to make your very own sushi.

You’ll begin your journey taking in the atmosphere of bustling Tokyo. You’ll have plenty of time to explore Sensoji, shop till you drop in Namikase and Ginza, and take in the endless lights from Mori Tower.

After departing Tokyo, you’ll see iconic Mount Fuji on your way to Hakone Shrine. Then you’ll explore Matsumoto Castle – one of Japan’s most complete original castles.

As the second week of your tour begins, you’ll visit the heritage listed Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa. Here, you’ll experience one of Japan’s great gardens and visit the Nomura Samurai House.

No tour of Japan would be complete without visiting Kyoto. You’ll spend your final four nights experiencing everything that this ancient city has to offer. This includes the Kinkakuji Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and the option to cycle along the Kamogawa River.

Valid until 30 November 2024 or until sold out. Save $1,800 ($900 per person) when you book selected APT Asia tours up to 15 days in duration departing in 2025. Credit is not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Save amount includes Early Payment Discount: $400 per couple ($200 per person) valid when you book and pay in full 10 months prior to departure. A $1,000 per person non-refundable deposit must be paid within seven days of booking. Discount is combinable with Travel with Friends Discount where applicable.
