Geelong Hot Air Ballooning
Experience a magical sunrise floating above Port Phillip Bay & The Bellarine Peninsula with a 5 star champagne breakfast.
What to expect
Participate in the most ancient sport of floating in the wind. The Peaceful Adventure starts very early, 1 1/2 hours before sunrise, so the tour starts at different time depending on the season. You will be transported from the meeting location to one of the launch sites in the area.
Your flight will start just before the sun comes up to enjoy the most spectacular moment of the day.
Hot air balloons simply float in the wind, so your pilot will use the wind at different altitudes to direct the balloon to our best landing sites, which are scattered around the countryside.
You will experience fantastic views in this lovely area of Victoria. The Barrabool Hills, the ocean to the South, the bay lit by the morning rays of sun. The flight lasts approximately one hour but the whole experience will take approximately 3 to 4 hours with a complimentary glass of champagne on landing. Once we land, we pack the balloon away and we enjoy a beautiful “a la carte” breakfast at the Rydges.

Time
- Start times will vary throughout the seasons. In December it can be as early as 04:00 am and in Winter as late as 06:00am. You must contact the tour operator 48 hours before your flight to confirm your pick up time.
- Meeting location is at the Rydges Hotel, Myers St &, Gheringhap St, Geelong VIC 3220. Parking is easy and free on the street beside it.
What To Bring
- A cap, beanie or hat to protect your heat from the heat of the burners
- Please wear practical clothing and shoes, participating in the setting up and packing up of the balloon can get a little dirty!
