What to expect

Shaped by millennia of glacial forces, the Chilean fjords of Patagonia are one of the world’s most spectacular expedition destinations. On our Glaciers & Fjords of Southern Patagonia voyage, you will navigate a dramatic maze of channels framed by snow-capped peaks, cruising among towering glaciers and windswept fjords lined with turquoise waters.

Travelling on the newly launched Douglas Mawson, you will explore by Zodiac and on foot, from the retreating glaciers of the Cordillera Darwin Icefield to the rare, advancing ice front of Pío XI.

Meet Aurora Expeditions revolutionary vessels – the Greg Mortimer, the Sylvia Earle, and the Douglas Mawson. Designed for rugged, remote areas, active expeditions, wildlife watching, education and learning and comfortable onboard experiences. The ships are named after pioneers in exploration, science and conservation.
