Important update: MacKenzie Falls closure
  • Due to works by Parks Victoria, MacKenzie Falls will be closed to all visitors until the second half of 2026. As a result, this tour will not include a visit to MacKenzie Falls during this period. This stop has been replaced with The Balconies.

Itinerary

  • 7-8am: Depart from Melbourne pickup locations
  • Eureka Stockade Memorial Park: Learn about the rich and significant events of the Eureka Rebellion as you take in the peaceful surroundings of this historic site while enjoying morning tea.
  • Silverband Falls: Begin your adventure with a relaxing 700-metre walk from Silverband Carpark through a lush, ferny forest. The track is unsealed but flat and easy, leading you to the serene base of Silverband Falls, where you can enjoy the tranquil setting.
  • Lunch Break at Halls Gap (at your own expense)
  • Grand Canyon: Carved out of ancient sandstone, this mini-canyon showcases rugged rock formations, steep cliffs, and narrow pathways that make it an exciting spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
  • Reeds Lookout: From this famous viewpoint you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Victoria Valley, Victoria Range, Serra Range, Lake Wartook, and the Mt Difficult Range.
  • The Balconies Walk: Set along a rugged ridgeline, the Balconies frame breathtaking views over Victoria Valley and beyond. The dramatic rock overhangs create a thrilling sense of height and space. It’s an easy walk with a truly grand reward.
  • Boroka Lookout: Boroka Lookout offers breathtaking panoramic views over Halls Gap and the eastern Grampians.
  • Kangaroo Viewing: Make a stop at a location where we can reliably view large numbers of native kangaroos. It’s the perfect way to end a day filled with nature and history
  • Dinner Stop (at your own expense)
  • 8:30pm: Return guests to Melbourne accommodation

  • Tour departs Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7AM to 8AM
  • Return time: 8:30PM to 9:30PM
