You’ll begin your journey with a day trip from Queenstown to the other-worldly Milford Sound, where you’ll cruise past sheer cliff faces and cascading waterfalls.

Next up, you’ll be blessed with freedom, with 5 days of car hire to see the west coast at your own pace. Along the journey, you’ll come across magical little towns and explore the Crown Range as you head up into glacier country.

Then, it’s time to hit the rails. The TranzAlpine Great Train journey will take you through lush rainforests before climbing up to alpine villages. From there, you’ll descend through spectacular gorges on your way down to Christchurch, where you’ll have time aplenty to see the city.

On the next leg of your journey, you’ll take the Coastal Pacific Great Train past secluded beaches as you reach the stunning Picton Sound – a short hop on the ferry to New Zealand’s picturesque capital; Wellington.

Your final destination will be cosmopolitan Auckland, which you’ll reach on the famous Northern Explorer. Along the way you’ll pass by Middle Earth and soaring volcanoes – a truly special way to end a bucket list holiday.
