Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles and local wildlife in the North. See an array of wildlife, enjoy our entertaining and educational wildlife presentations & take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon (included).
Kuranda Koala Gardens offers the opportunity to hold a Koala (extra charge) plus meet kangaroos and wallabies in a free-range enclosure. See the rare Greater Bilby, the Northern Bettong, Mahogany Glider and more in the ‘Nocturnal Wonders’ exhibit. Visitors can also view wombats, Quokkas, Freshwater Crocodiles, pythons, frogs and lizards.
Birdworld Kuranda is a free flight aviary housing a dazzling array of native Australian and spectacular rare and exotic species from the disappearing rainforest habitats of the tropical world.

- Customers must visit Harley's Crocodile Adventures first
- Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is located just 100 metres off the Captain Cook Highway at Wangetti Beach on the spectacular scenic drive between Cairns and Port Douglas, 40 kilometres (40 minutes) north of Cairns and 25 kilometres (20 minutes) south of Port Douglas.
- Birdworld Kuranda is conveniently located in the Kuranda Heritage Markets on Rob Veivers Drive, Kuranda. Kuranda is approximately 30 minutes from Cairns and 1 hour from Port Douglas.
- Kuranda Koala Gardens is only 40 minutes north west of Cairns. You can get to Kuranda via the Captain Cook Highway and Kennedy Highways. Drive yourself or hire a car
