Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Great Ocean Road on this unforgettable full-day adventure, ending with a stunning sunset at the 12 Apostles!
The journey begins in the morning as we depart from Melbourne CBD, setting off along one of Australia’s most iconic coastal routes.
Our first stop is at Aireys Inlet, where you can admire charming coastal views and stretch your legs before we continue along the scenic drive. Next, we visit the Memorial Arch, a historic landmark commemorating the workers who built the Great Ocean Road—perfect for a quick photo opportunity.
By midday, we arrive at Lorne, a vibrant seaside town where you’ll have time to explore the beach and grab lunch (own expense) while soaking in the relaxed coastal atmosphere.
After lunch, we stop at the Cape Patton Lookout, where you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the rugged coastline and sparkling turquoise waters—one of the most picturesque spots along the route.
We then venture into the Great Otway National Park, where you’ll embark on a 20-minute guided walk through the lush rainforest of Melba Gully. Listen to the sounds of nature as you stroll beneath towering trees and ancient ferns.
Continuing along the Shipwreck Coast, we arrive at Loch Ard Gorge, where you’ll be captivated by its dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and fascinating maritime history. Learn the incredible story of the Loch Ard shipwreck while taking in the breathtaking ocean views.
Before our final stop, we take a break in Port Campbell, where you can relax at a local eatery and enjoy dinner (own expense) before the highlight of the day.
As the sun begins to set, we arrive at the 12 Apostles, where the golden light casts a magical glow over the towering limestone stacks—an unforgettable sight and a perfect moment to capture stunning photos.
After an incredible day of adventure, we make our way back to Melbourne, traveling along the inland route with a brief rest stop in Colac before arriving back in the city.
