An early morning departure from Adelaide (coach or self-drive) and take in the scenic Fleurieu Peninsula as you make your way to Cape Jervis to board the SeaLink ferry service to Kangaroo Island.
Kangaroo Island is over 155km in length and 55km wide and is Australia’s third largest Island. During the next four days, you will have the opportunity to take in some of the spectacular coastal scenery, beautiful beaches, adventure activities, scenic landscapes, and fantastic National Parks.
Stay at Al-Pac-Em Inn, located just outside of Kingscote. The modern holiday house can sleep up to 8 people, and children under the age of 3 are free of charge. Al-Pac-Em Inn has a fully appointed kitchen, BBQ, washing machine and all linen is provided. Also included is reverse cycle air conditioning, flat screen TV and DVD, and provides a private and restful setting for guests to relax and unwind while the children play safely in a secure yard. Children in particular, will find their stay very interesting at ‘Al-Pac-Em Inn’ where they can pat and cuddle all the wonderful farm animals, including miniature ponies, cows, goats and the always entertaining alpacas. In the spring you can bottle feed the orphaned baby lambs (when available) or hand feed Kate the Clydesdale.
Visit two of KI’s popular attractions, Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park and Raptor Domain now both at the same location. Your package includes a family entry into the KI Wildlife Park with time to explore the park at your own leisure. Also included is a “Free Flight” Raptor presentation, offering a unique and entertaining experience. Meet an array of birds including Jedda, the majestic Wedge Tailed Eagle, Casper the friendly Barn Owl and meet Banjo and Clancy, the laughing Kookaburras.
Little Sahara is an area of spectacular white sand dunes, surrounded by bush vegetation. Take your sand board and toboggan and climb to the top of the razorback ridges and enjoy a thrilling ride to the bottom. As an option, you can experience the thrill of quad biking on a Quad Bike Discovery Tour with KI Outdoor Action (additional cost).
Explore the wonders of this great Island such as the Seal Bay Conservation Park where you can go on a guided beach walk with an experienced park ranger to be amongst a colony of rare and wild Australian sea Lions – a truly amazing and unforgettable experience (additional cost).
