What to expect

Kangaroo Island is a state treasure. With more than 500 km of stunning coastline, beautiful beaches, wildlife and native bushland, Kangaroo Island is ripe for a visit.

Enjoy 3 nights at the Kangaroo Island Seafront, Penneshaw including parking, and full day Kangaroo Island wildlife discovery tour. Kangaroo Island is home to a large array of wildlife. Over a third of the island is protected across 30 national and state conservation parks connected by roadside and creek-line corridors, making for great wildlife viewing possibilities. Traveling by 4WD, see Australian sea lions at aptly named Seal Bay, and enjoy encounters with kangaroos, koalas, short-beaked echidnas, Tammar wallabies and a variety of birdlife.

Beyond the wildlife, Kangaroo Island is also renowned for its locally produced food and drink. Call into local food producers such as Clifford’s Honey, where delicious honey from the purest strain of Ligurian bees is produced. Kangaroo Island is also the birthplace of Australian gin. Sample the goods at Kangaroo Island Spirits. Or if wine is your thing, the island has several noted wineries including Bay of Shoals, Dudley Wines and False Cape Wines.
