My love of travel began when I backpacked through Southeast Asia. There, I discovered a passion for culture, connection, and experiencing destinations beyond the surface. I'm drawn to exploring beyond the highlights, learning from locals, and understanding each place rather than simply ticking sights off a list. In between adventures, I've spent most of my life on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays and have more recently travelled and worked throughout remote Australia, giving me knowledge and appreciation of both iconic destinations and hidden gems.

Memorable meal?
One of my most memorable meals was in San Juan, a beautiful lakeside village in Guatemala, where my friend and I were invited to have dinner with a local family. We made a traditional Mayan curry with the Grandma, which we all enjoyed together. No one spoke English, so we communicated through expressions and gestures. Later, the father and brothers, who were in a band, taught us to play their local instruments and gave us a private concert. It was an unforgettable meal full of laughter and surprises!
What wouldn’t you travel without?
One item I would never travel without is a big cotton scarf! It's a blanket on cold flights, a cover in religious sites, a pillow on long train rides, a towel at the beach... Truly my ultimate travel multitasker.
