Port Stephens Unlimited Sandboarding & 4WD Adventure
Hit the Stockton Sand Dunes for unlimited hours of fun sandboarding on this 4WD tour with return transfers from Birubi Beach, Port Stephens.
What to expect
Sandboarding in Port Stephens is a must do for your bucket list. The thrill of sliding down the spectacular Stockton Sand Dunes is so much fun! Sandboarding Australia @ 4WD Tour R Us invites you to join us for an Unlimited Sandboarding Adventure from our meeting point at Birubi Beach, Anna Bay.
You will board our custom-built off-road vehicles for the short, bouncy ride into the largest moving sand mass in the southern hemisphere. The dunes stretch 32 kilometres, that’s the entire length of Stockton Beach and can reach over 40-50 metres high, that’s like a 10 storey building. The views alone are spectacular.
Once in the dunes, our team will give you a rundown on sandboarding and how to use our hand made custom designed boards for maximum speed (and safety!) Then you are off. Climb to the top of the dunes, jump on your sandboard, slide on down, then repeat! Our instructors are always on hand to help and answer any questions about sandboarding Port Stephens or the dunes and to make sure you have maximum fun!
When you are done just jump back aboard our 4WD buses to be taken back to the Birubi Beach starting point.
It’s an amazing experience for everyone, no matter your age.
Don’t forget to bring your camera along, you’ll have the chance to capture some amazing Port Stephens holiday snaps!
What's included
- Departing from Birubi Beach on a custom-built off-road vehicle enjoy the bumpy journey to the sandboarding location
- Climb to the top of the dunes, jump on your board, slide on down and repeat as many times as you can handle
- Your pass offers unlimited sandboarding, stay and play as long as you like. For most people, this is about 1 to 1.5 hours
- Knowledgeable and experienced staff will teach how to use the board correctly to ensure your safety
- Once you're finished sandboarding jump back aboard the 4WD buses to be taken back to the Birubi Beach starting point

Time
- The first bus leaves at 10am with shuttles leaving every half an hour until 3.30pm. If a session you are wanting to book is not listed, please call us on 1300 935 532
- Be at the "Sandboarding Australia" beach office 15 min prior to the departure time on the day of your booking (we cannot guarantee the bus will be able to wait for you if you are late)
- The last bus of the day will only have 1 hour duration of sandboarding available due to daylight restrictions and needing to vacate the hill while in daylight.
- Open 365 days a year, even Christmas Day

What To Bring
- A bottle of water
- Sun protection, this including sunscreen and a hat
- Camera
- A light jacket
- Relaxed comfortable clothes, shoes can be anything as they will be removed it's easier to climb the sandboarding hill bare foot (if sand is extremely hot a pair of socks are handy to bring and wear)
- For kids swimming goggles are often handy to stop sand from blowing to their eyes (Not a must but if you have some they might come in handy!)
