Shotover River Whitewater Rafting
The Shotover River of Queenstown provides some adrenaline pumping whitewater rafting experiences, with rapids that range from grades 3-5.
What to expect
This Shotover River white water rafting adventure is a must for adrenaline junkies visiting the Queenstown region of NZ! Those with a zest for the more adrenaline pumping side of whitewater rafting will be ecstatic with a journey down the pristine waters of Queenstown's Shotover River. The river itself is fast and furious and also provides a wonderful showcase of the unspoilt and breathtaking scenery of the Queenstown region as you soar down the river and conquer its wild, untamed surface and rapids in the company of your fellow rafters and qualified safety instructor.
Six separate sections of rapids will be encountered along the way, as well as the long, shadowy distance of the 170m-long Oxenbridge Tunnel and finish it all off with the Cascade Rapid that will cap off the rafting challenge! This Shotover River rafting tour departs twice daily in both the morning and the afternoon, so both early birds and late risers can participate in the peak of their alertness.

- Whitewater rafting is not available throughout Winter.
Exclusions
- Hotel Transfers to departure location are not included, however if you make your way to the centre of Queenstown, pick-up and drop-off is included from the RealNZ office to the Rafting Base

- Guests are kindly requested to arrive 20 minutes before the start time.

- Departs from the Beach Street Visitor Centre at 88 Beach Street, Queenstown
What To Bring
- Change of dry clothes
- Swimming costume and towel
- Snacks
- Camera, videos and personal items are carried at owners risk
- We provide wetsuit booties so you can wear your normal shoes to get to the rafting base
