What to expect

Ever dreamt of crossing our vast continent from sea to sea, across the immensity of the outback? On the Indian Pacific, you can make that dream a reality.

Following in the footsteps of early explorers (but without all the discomfort), journey from Perth to Sydney by rail, taking-in some of Australia’s most iconic scenery while enjoying five-star food, wine and service.

Your three-night, four-day adventure covers more than 4300 kilometres and showcases a brilliant array of landscapes, from rolling wheat fields to outback plains; vine-clad hills to rugged escarpments.

You’ll visit some fascinating settlements along the way. Kalgoorlie showcases a rollicking gold-rush history and the incredible Super Pit gold mine while Rawlinna sits on Australia’s largest sheep station and is host to a unique outback breakfast experience.

The humbling, expansive Nullarbor Plain features the world’s longest stretch of straight railways track (478 kilometres), where you alight at Cook to explore the atmospheric, now-abandoned railway support town.

Sit back and enjoy the train’s all-inclusive regionally inspired menus and wines, chat with fellow guests in the Explorer’s Lounge, and watch as glorious scenery rolls past your window.
