Over 16 days, you’ll visit some of Egypt’s most fascinating attractions, from the Great Pyramids of Giza – some of the oldest structures in existence – to Tutankhamun’s Tomb in the Valley of the Kings and the 14th century Khan el-Khalili Bazaar.
Your tour begins in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, set on the Nile River and home to many famous Egyptian landmarks. Visit Giza to see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Great Pyramids of Giza, as well as the nearby Great Sphinx. You’ll see another Wonder of the Ancient World when you travel to the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Discover Luxor, the final resting place of Tutankhamun, before taking a Nile River cruise.
After disembarking your cruise ship, you’ll take in the incredible sights of the city of Aswan. Visit the High Dam, the picturesque Philae Temple on Agilkia Island and the Unfinished Obelisk. You’ll also visit a local store which produces an assortment of aromatic perfumes and oils.
On your final full day, you’ll discover the heart of lively Cairo, visiting the world-famous Egyptian Museum, the 12th century Saladin Citadel of Cairo and the Mohammed Ali Mosque. You’ll then explore the 14th century Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, before sitting down to a lavish farewell dinner.
