What to expect

Enjoy this 2-week Tasmanian self-drive holiday, with your BYO car, a myriad of amazing accommodation locations and a National Parks Pass, allowing you entry into statewide parks. You’ll get to know the Tassie way of life as you start in scenic Hobart and the South and stay in comfort at the Wrest Point Motor Inn, a stone's throw to Salamanca Place and Battery Point.

You’ll also explore the area further with a stay at Port Arthur Motor Inn and Hotel Bruny. You’ll head to Launceston and the North, famed for Cataract Gorge, walking trails, and sculpted gardens. And as you journey, you’ll stay at Best Western Plus, Elphin Serviced Apartments, Country Club Tasmania and Coach House Launceston.

You’ll discover to the East coast during your trip and stay at Swansea Beach Chalets and Scamander Beach Resort - an amazing stay that’s centrally located and home to pristine beaches, clean air and breathtaking views. And lastly you’ll visit the North West coast where you’ll stay at the Stanley Seaview Inn, Gateway Devonport By Nightcap Plus, The Waterfront Wynyard and Burnie Central Townhouse Hotel. This amazing itinerary starts and ends in Devonport, where you can enjoy the sites of the Mersey River, Bass Strait Maritime Centre and the Devonport Regional Gallery.
