What to expect

From east to west and back again, the Indian Pacific has been crossing the Nullarbor and traversing the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track for over 50 years. Departing Perth, the first day of your journey is spent embracing life on train, and as the Indian Pacific travels overnight, you’ll wake up in the outback with stops in Kalgoorlie and Cook as you travel across the Nullarbor Plain. Pass through South Australia, stopping in the Barossa Valley for an incredible dining experience, as well as Broken Hill and the Blue Mountains on your journey towards Sydney.
