Time
Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is open 7 days a week 8:30am - 4:30pm with last admission at 3pm. The park is open all year round excluding Christmas Day 25th December.
Duration
- The Self Guided Tour (General Admission) begins at the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland Visitor Centre. It takes approximately 90 minutes for the full park walk. Parking is available a short walk from the Visitor Centre.
- Allow 15-20 minutes for Health & Safety briefing prior to your walk. Our comprehensive Health and Safety procedures are in place to provide all guests an enjoyable experience in a safe and sustainable manner.

- Tours begin at the Waiotapu Visitor Centre. Please arrive around 15 minutes before your tour.
