What to expect
Experience the warmth of our Legacy Guided tours through NZ’s iconic living Maori village. Our Village guides are direct descendants of the early Māori guides who’s Legacy shaped tourism in New Zealand for generations. Their insights, knowledge and legendary hospitality (Manaakitanga) adds depth and richness to the experience you’ll have at Whakarewarewa – The Living Māori Village.
What's included
- 1.5 hour guided tour of the village

What To Bring
- Comfortable walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, hat, and sunscreen, rain jacket & beanie. Often, we will have sunscreen available at our admissions free to use.
- Drink/Water bottle on warmer/hot days.
- Your camera or phone to take those lifetime memories.
- You are entering a geothermal area; the temperature inside is hotter than outside our village.
