Ziptrek Kea 6-Line Tour
The Kea 6-line adventure zipline tour will provide an extended scenic aerial experience over some of the most beautiful scenery near Queenstown.
What to expect
Descend 30 storeys at speeds of up to 70kph (44mph) on the world's steepest tree-to-tree zipline!
Longer and faster than our other tours, this stunning guided journey through native beech forest comprises six amazing ziplines, finishing you right back in town on a total high.
This tour starts at the top of the Skyline gondola building but finishes right back in town after the final zipline.

Exclusions
- Please ensure your guests purchase their Skyline gondola ticket in advance of their tour. Ziptrek does not provide the Skyline gondola tickets.
- Although the Kea Tour finishes at the bottom of the hill, a return Gondola ticket is still required, there is no one way option.
- We do not provide pick up or drop off to our treehouse.
Time
Pick Up / Opening
- Ziptrek Treehouse (Top of Gondola) - 10:20am; 1:20pm
- These departure times are subject to change. Tour times will be confirmed by our Guest Services team upon booking.
- Check in time is 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start at the Ziptrek Tree-house
- Please allow 40 minutes from the base of the Gondola to the Ziptrek Tree-house
- IFly at the entrance to Cemetery Road - off Brecon Street - 1:20pm; 4:20pm
- The Kea 6-Line is the only Ziptrek tour to zip down the entire mountain.
- The tour finishes opposite IFly at the entrance to Cemetery Road - off Brecon Street.
- To re-upload the Skyline gondola on the same day as the Kea tour, we can give the guests a stamp permitting complimentary re-upload.
Duration
- 3 hours
What To Bring
- Participants should dress for the weather (it is a few degrees cooler up in the mountain than in town and in the shade of the tree canopy). Queenstown is an alpine environment, please bring extra layers.
- Comfortable clothing and hiking boots or good athletic footwear is recommended. Closed toe shoes are required to participate on Ziptrek due to health & safety regulations.
- Bags, purses and backpacks are not allowed on the tour for safety reasons. Guests should be informed to leave these items behind them where possible, or they can drop them into our central Queenstown booking office at 45 Camp Street, Queenstown. Whilst we do provide storage for a few items up on the course, which can be returned at the end of the Tour, this is limited to the Moa and Kereru tours only.
- Cameras are encouraged, at own risk, providing they fit into a zippered pocket. Any loose items must be zipped into pockets prior to riding the zipline. Long hair should be held back with a hair tie or an elastic band.
- We provide wet weather gear when appropriate and hats and gloves (in winter) which can be borrowed at the start of the tour.
